This is most commonly sold as a powder which can be mixed into preparation of your choice. Since you’re buying nothing but CBD, it tends to be a bit cheaper than purchasing a pre-made CBD product. However, you’ll need to be careful to accurately weigh and dose the CBD isolate.

Traditional Solvents: Although the cheapest and in some respects, the “simplest” method, using traditional solvents to separate the oils from hemp can create “dirty” oil, which can contain traces of the potentially toxic solvents if the solvent is not completely evaporated from the finished product.

Testing Procedures

After CBD oil is extracted, it needs to be subjected to chemical tests to measure its concentration and verify that there are no contaminants.

This testing is best performed by a third party laboratory for optimal results. However, this comes at a price. While this does increase the bottom line for the consumer, it is a step that should not be taken for granted!
